Colorado Springs, Colo. – December 1, 2010 – Memorial Health System Foundation, along with its community partners are pleased to announce the ‘All We Care About is Kids’ fundraising campaign. The initiative is designed to aide programs and services at Memorial Hospital for Children, which assists with the medical needs of more than 5,000 pediatric patients each year. The campaign runs until December 31, 2010.

Memorial Hospital for Children relies on donations to fund critical pediatric services in the pikes peak region and is asking the community to provide gifts to ensure the hospital is able to provide the best pediatric medical assistance in Colorado. 100 percent of the proceeds go directly to support the hospital. There are two ways to make a tax deductible contribution:

1.Make secure donations online at www.allwecareaboutiskids.org with a Visa or MasterCard

2. Purchase Dr. Seuss Toys or Books at Kohl’s for $5 dollars each at either the SouthGate, North Nevada, East Powers, Monument or Pueblo – locations

To make the donation process seamless and simple, CodeBaby donated its technology and creativity by designing a CodeBaby Character named Mandy. Designed as a strong young mother in her late ‘20s, she greets site visitors, explains the benefits of donating to the campaign and provides information on how to donate. Additionally, the CodeBaby Character will be promoting the campaign on these partner websites:

“This campaign wouldn’t be possible without the incredible efforts from our local business leaders,” said Cary Blanchette, Executive Director of Memorial Health System Foundation. In conjunction with CodeBaby’s technology support KILO and RXP radio are donating space on their website(s) to promote the program, as well as time for live on-air promotion. Kohl’s, through its Kohl’s Cares® program, is making it easy for those who want to buy a toy for a child admitted to Memorial Hospital for Children by offering its Dr. Seuss toys and books at the low price of only $5, with 100 percent of the net profit benefiting health and educational opportunities for children nationwide.

“With the most sophisticated neonatal intensive care unit and the only pediatric intensive care team in Southern Colorado, Memorial Hospital for Children cares for our community’s sickest kids,” added Blanchette. “We are hopeful the entire Southern Colorado community rallies to support the All We Care About Is Kids program, so the hospital is properly funded and the children in our region continue to receive the world class medical attention they deserve.”
