CodeBaby CEO Dennis McGuire sat down with Colorado Springs Business Journal (CSBJ) columnist Marija B. Vader to discuss Colorado Springs Health Partners’ newest ‘employee,’ Jill.
Jill will go live inside CSHP’s patient portal this summer, with the ultimate goal of increasing patients’ meaningful use via enrollment, electronic health record location, prescription refills, scheduling appointments, etc.
In the article, McGuire explains the process of building a ‘living’ avatar for a company. “’We create a library of characters – 70 to 80 characters,’ McGuire said. ‘We can change the hair. We can put on a bracelet, scarf – whatever the customer wants.’”
Vader wraps up the article by sharing McGuire’s explanation of the research behind the look of CodeBaby avatars. “’Our character eyes are about 20 percent bigger than human eyes because eyes are where we make connections,’ McGuire said. ‘Subtleties in how our forehead moves or our eyebrows move drives engagement.’”
